It has been a while. I just wanted to share this absolutely astounding artwork with the world. Jason deCaires Taylor creates these life-size sculptures, with great detail and execution, and releases them into nature. Over time, these pieces become part of the earth...especially in certain areas where oceanic life is scarce, these sculptures help underwater life develop and morph into natural and simply beautiful work. Many of the human-sized sculptures are portraits of particular faces or people that he discovered and wanted to include, perhaps creating a doppelganger in another form, where life is clinging unto it, rather than it clinging onto life.
